• Stir the product until it is perfectly homogeneous.
• Dilute the first coat adequately to ensure good penetration into the substrate.
• It can be applied without sanding between coats, although it is advisable to perform a light sanding to ensure perfect adhesion, especially on woods prone to grain raising.
• Likewise, for a silky finish, it is also advisable to sand before the final coat.
• It is recommended to prime with Montoxyl Primer (Code: 1301) before application.
• Do not apply the product in high temperatures or on surfaces exposed to strong sunlight.
• Maintain good ventilation conditions during the drying time.
• Do not apply in conditions with relative humidity exceeding 80%.
• If tinting this product with Montotinte Universal or the Cromiservice System, use this tint as a base, following the direction of the grain and diluting appropriately. Regularly homogenize during the painting process.
• Tinting significantly increases its resistance to UV.

New Support:

New Wood:

• For exterior use, protect the wood from the attack of wood-boring fungi and insects with Anticarcomas Klearxyl Di.
• The support must be free from foreign products and/or residues.
• Apply to wood with a moisture content below 12%.
• Apply to sound wood, well degreased, dust-free, and dry.
• Sand and remove possible adhesive residues at joints and machining defects.
• If the wood shows signs of aging, it should be sanded and dust removed through brushing or any other mechanical means.
• It is recommended to prime with Montoxyl Primer.

Restoration and Maintenance:

Varnished or Painted Wood:

• If they have been varnished with Montoxyl Primer (Code: 1301), remove foreign products, eliminate poorly adhered or damaged areas, lightly sand, remove the dust resulting from sanding, and proceed as with new wood.
• If they have been varnished with Montoxyl Color (Code: 1300), remove foreign products, eliminate poorly adhered or damaged areas, lightly sand, remove the dust resulting from sanding, and proceed as with new wood.
• If they have been varnished with closed-pore varnishes like Universal Matte Synthetic Varnish (Code: 1350), Satin (Code: 1360), or Glossy (Code: 1370), Velero Varnish (Code: 1380), Alta Montaña Varnish (Code: 1385), or similar, remove using paint stripping with Universal Paint Remover (Code: 3510) or mechanical means and proceed as with new wood in case of blisters, edge lifting, or cracks. If the surface is in good condition, lightly sand, remove the dust resulting from sanding, and proceed as with new wood.
• If they have been varnished with cellulose or polyurethane varnishes, remove using paint stripping with Universal Paint Remover (Code: 3510) or mechanical means and proceed as with new wood in case of blisters, edge lifting, or cracks. If the surface is in good condition, lightly sand, remove the dust resulting from sanding, and proceed as with new wood.
• If they have been enamelled with synthetic enamel (Montosintetic Code: 2020, 2024), Marisma (Code: 2010, 2014), Luxatín (Code: 2028), or similar, remove using paint stripping with Universal Paint Remover (Code: 3510) or mechanical means and proceed as with new wood.
• For exterior use, protect the wood from the attack of wood-boring fungi and insects with Anticarcomas Klearxyl Di.
• In any case, adhesion on old paint should be checked.
