MICROCEMENT PRIMER N-ABS

Epoxy Primer, a two-component water-based transparent primer for the Microcement Ó Deco System. Acts as a bonding bridge between different types of substrates and the first layer of Microcement Ó Deco cementitious mortar. Suitable for challenging adherence surfaces as well as porous substrates.

How to apply?

Brush, Roller

Colors

Colorless

  1. Add PRIMER N-ABS HARDENER to the PRIMER N-ABS bucket under gentle mechanical agitation until fully homogenized.

  2. Dilute with the following amount of water, depending on the absorption and condition of the substrate: On vertical and low-absorption surfaces, 25% water is usually sufficient. As absorption increases, an additional 25% can be added. On horizontal and low-absorption surfaces, 50% water is usually sufficient. As absorption increases, an additional 50% can be added.

  3. Add water and stir again until fully homogenized.

Apply on clean and dry substrates.

Do not apply at temperatures below 10 ºC.

Do not apply at high temperatures or on surfaces exposed to sunlight. The ideal temperature is between 15 and 25 ºC.

The ideal relative humidity is between 30 and 70%.

Good air renewal is advisable.

One coat, at the correct dilution, should be sufficient.

Apply MICROCEMENT BASE 24 to 48 hours after application.

Avoid allowing possible dust on the site to settle on the primer.

Check adhesion in all systems.

New Substrate:

FLOORS: Proper preparation is essential. 1. Wait until it is fully cured (minimum 30 days): Remove efflorescence. 2. The pavement must be sound, clean, dry, and if necessary, leveled. 3. Grease and oils must be completely removed. 4. Shot blasting or bush hammering is the best solution, although in some cases, a 15-20% caustic soda solution, followed by rinsing and neutralization with salfumant, is sufficient. Suitable porosity of the pavement is achieved, likewise, through bush hammering or shot blasting. 5. In floors with moderate porosity, a chemical treatment based on salfumant followed by abundant rinsing with water may be sufficient. 6. In case of doubt before applying a chemical treatment, consult with our Technical Department, as it is not always sufficient. Never apply on asphalt substrates at high temperatures; remove foreign substances and check for plasticizer migration.

WALLS:

  1. For wood derivatives, plaster, etc., use the maximum dilution or PRIMER ABS.

Restoration and Maintenance:

  1. Remove old, poorly adhered paints through traditional methods, such as mechanical stripping (shot blasting or bush hammering) or chemical stripping (Universal Stripper).

  2. Ensure that the adhesion between well-anchored old paints and new paints is perfect and does not deteriorate the adhesion of the old paints to the substrate.

  3. Check the compatibility/incompatibility of the product to be applied with the old paint in good condition to avoid reactions between them that may result in modifications to their final qualities.4. Essential on tiles. Check beforehand that none are loose and repair any gaps before applying PRIMER N-ABS.

Follow the usual procedure indicated for new substrates.
