The challenge
Cracks in the coatings together with rainwater can cause spalling in façades. That is what happened with this 1,050 m2 building located in Bermeo, Vizcaya, where the passage of time made total refurbishment of the façade necessary.
The solution
The façade has been completely restored, with new stonework and roughcasting. The spalling was also repaired, improving the appearance and health of the building, but also making the neighbourhood more attractive and increasing the wellbeing of tenants and neighbours. For this purpose, the MONTÓ thêrm ETICS System was used with 80 mm graphite EPS, then coated with MONTÓ thêrm Mortero Siloxano 150.
