The challenge
Buildings close to the sea undoubtedly offer spectacular views, but at the same time it is very common for the humid and salty environment to end up affecting the façade. This is what happened to Hotel Meliá in Benidorm, whose 36,000 m2 façade was suffering from cracks and fissures, and, in addition to the dirt accumulated over time, it also had damp due to leaks, algae and mould.
The solution
The cracks and fissures were repaired and thena coat of Fijamont Acqua was applied. Once the fixer was dry, an initial coat of Ovaldine Elastic diluted at 10% was applied, followed by a second coat at 5%.
