  • Stir the product until it is perfectly homogeneous.
  • Dilute the first coat adequately to achieve good penetration into the substrate.
  • On very porous or very smooth surfaces or very hard woods, it is advisable to increase the dilution of the first coat with our Polyurethane Solvent 1410.
  • Layer thicknesses exceeding 100 microns per coat should never be applied.
  • It can be applied without the need to sand between coats, although it is advisable to proceed with a light sanding to ensure perfect adhesion, especially in the case of woods prone to repelling.
  • Sand between coats whenever more than 12 hours have passed since the last coat was applied.
  • Likewise, to achieve a finish with an excellent feel, it is advisable to sand before the final coat.
  • Do not apply the product at high temperatures or on surfaces exposed to strong sunlight.
  • Maintain good ventilation conditions during the drying time.
  • Do not apply with relative humidity above 80%.
  • As it is a moisture-curable product, once opened, it must be used up, as absorption of ambient moisture causes it to harden.
  • Before applying, check that the product is completely transparent. On porous woods, dilute the product to allow it to penetrate the pores and eliminate the possible formation of bubbles.
  • Respect the minimum time between coats to avoid disturbances.
  • Respect the maximum time between coats to avoid adhesion problems.

New Substrate:

New woods:

  • The substrate must be free of foreign substances and/or residues.
  • Apply to woods with a moisture content below 12%.
  • Apply to healthy, well-degreased, dust-free, and dry woods.
  • Sand and remove possible glue residues in joints and machining defects.
  • If the wood shows signs of aging, it must be previously sanded, and the dust removed by brushing or any other mechanical means.

Restoration and Maintenance:

Varnished or painted woods:

  • If varnished with varnishes that are diluted with white spirit, turpentine, similar to turpentine, or solvents for synthetics and greases, they must be removed with universal stripper or by mechanical means, until reaching new wood.
  • If applied over genuine polyurethane varnish (in its dilution, polyurethane solvent is recommended), sand to open the pores, remove the resulting dust by brushing, and re-varnish.
  • In any case, check the adhesion to the previous varnish, and if in doubt, remove it.
  • If household cleaning products based on silicones have been used during maintenance, it is advisable to sand the wood until completely removed.
