BARNIZ SINTETICO UNIVERSAL MATE

• Stir the product until perfectly homogeneous.

• Dilute the first coat adequately to achieve good penetration into the substrate.

• It can be applied without sanding between coats, although a light sanding is advisable to ensure perfect adhesion, especially on woods prone to grain raising.

• Also, to obtain a silky finish, it is recommended to sand before the final coat.

• It is advisable to prime with Montoxyl Fondo (Code: 1301).

• Do not apply the product at high temperatures or on surfaces exposed to strong sunlight.

• Maintain good ventilation conditions during the drying time.

• Do not apply in relative humidity higher than 80%.

• If tinting this product with Montotinte Universal or the Cromiservice System, use this tint as a background, following the direction of the grain and diluting appropriately. Homogenize regularly during the painting process.

• Tinting significantly increases its resistance to UV.

New Support:

New woods:

• For exterior use, protect the wood with Anticarcomas Klearxyl Di against the attack of fungi and xylophagous insects.

• The support must be free of foreign substances and/or residues.

• Apply to woods with a moisture content below 12%.

• Apply to healthy woods, well degreased, dust-free, and dry.

• Sand and remove possible glue residues on joints and machining defects.

• If the wood shows signs of aging, it should be previously sanded, and the dust removed by brushing or any other mechanical means.

• Priming with Montoxyl Fondo is recommended.

Restoration and Maintenance:

Varnished or painted woods:

• If varnished with Montoxyl Fondo (Code: 1301), remove foreign substances, eliminate poorly adhered or damaged areas, lightly sand, remove the dust resulting from sanding, and proceed as on new woods.

• If varnished with Montoxyl Color (Code: 1300), remove foreign substances, eliminate poorly adhered or damaged areas, lightly sand, remove the dust resulting from sanding, and proceed as on new woods.

• If varnished with closed-pore varnishes such as Synthetic Universal Matte Varnish (Code: 1350), Satin (Code: 1360), or Gloss (Code: 1370), Velero Varnish (Code: 1380), High Mountain Varnish (Code: 1385), or similar, remove by stripping with Quitamont Universal (Code: 3510) or by mechanical means and proceed as on new woods in case of blisters, lifting edges, or cracks. If the surface is in good condition, lightly sand, remove the dust resulting from sanding, and proceed as on new woods.

• If varnished with cellulose or polyurethane varnishes, remove by stripping with Quitamont Universal (Code: 3510) or by mechanical means and proceed as on new woods, in case of blisters, lifting edges, or cracks. • In any case, adherence to old paints should be checked.
