MONTOXYL CLIMAS EXTREMOS MATE

Application notes

- Stir the product until completely smooth.

- Apply to clean, dry substrates.

- Sand beforehand to ensure good penetration and evenness on the wood.

- Apply according to the recommended dilutions.

- Do not apply the product at high temperatures or on surfaces exposed to strong sunlight.

- Maintain good ventilation during the drying time.

- Do not apply when relative humidity is above 80%.

- Avoid buildup on the wood surface in all cases.

- For furniture and vertical surfaces. For floors and decking, there are more specific products in the Crea range.

- Always stain exterior wood. It is highly recommended to prepare a sample if you want to see the final color.

- Recommended general treatment: 1 coat of Montoxyl Acqua Colored primer+ 1 or 2 coats of Montoxyl Cmimas Extremos colored.

- It is recommended to use Montoxyl Extreme Climates Transparent to reduce very intense colors or for maintenance on already colored stain.

New surfaces

New wood:

- The substrate must be free of foreign matter and/or residue.

- Apply to wood with a moisture content of less than 20%.

- Apply to healthy, well-degreased, dust-free, and dry wood.

- For wood with resin stains on the interior (usually conifers) and/or oily tropical woods, it will be necessary to first clean them with solvent.

- Sand and remove any glue residue from joints and machining defects.

- If the wood shows signs of aging, it must be sanded first, and dust must be removed by brushing or using other mechanical means.

- When outdoors, protect the wood beforehand with Klearxyl against fungal and wood-destroying insects (woodworms).

Restoring and maintenance

Varnished or painted wood:

- If varnished with closed-pore varnishes or similar, sand thoroughly. If it is not easy to remove, proceed with stripping or more abrasive mechanical treatment. Once the entire area has been cleaned, we can apply the varnish as for new wood.

- If varnished with synthetic enamels, remove by stripping or mechanical treatment, sand down to the wood surface, and proceed as for new wood.

Maintenance:

- On pieces already protected with Montoxyl Lasur or Montoxyl Climas Extremos—in order to maintain their full protective effectiveness—it is advisable to periodically check the condition/appearance of the surfaces. When deterioration due to impacts and/or scratches, etc., is observed, it is advisable to clean and sand the damaged area before reapplying.
