MONTOPRIMER TOTAL BASE

• Stir until thoroughly homogeneous.
• Apply following the instructions provided in the application chart.
• Do not apply the product at high temperatures or on surfaces exposed to intense sunlight.
• Do not apply when the relative humidity is higher than 80%, or at temperatures below 5°C or above 35°C.
• Maintain proper ventilation conditions during the drying time.
• Given the variety of substrates, it is advisable to conduct preliminary tests on surfaces with difficult or questionable adhesion to ensure the product's proper performance. Similarly, for surfaces subjected to extreme conditions or requiring specific resistances, it is recommended to use specific systems designed for those conditions. If in doubt, consult with our Technical Department.
• For repainting with water-based products, we offer Montoprimer Total Aqua.
• For repainting with products different from those recommended, it is necessary to perform tests on inconspicuous areas or consult with our Technical Department.

New Substrate:

The substrate must be free from foreign substances, rust, and/or residues.

Apply to well-degreased, dust-free, and dry surfaces. Prior to application, pre-sanding is necessary. The quality of the pretreatment is just as important as the quality of the primer and paint.

Subsequently, treat with Montoprimer Total followed by intermediate and finishing paints.

Light sanding improves adhesion.

Metal: Deoxidize with light sanding, degrease, and remove dust. Apply the product at the specified thicknesses.

PVC: Clean, sand lightly, and remove dust. Apply the product at the specified thicknesses.

Wood: Remove dirt, resins, and secretions from the substrate, sand lightly in the direction of the grain, remove dust, and apply the product at the specified thicknesses.

For exterior wood, apply protection against woodworm, such as Anticarcoma Klearxyl DI. Restoration and Maintenance:

Follow the guidelines for new substrates regarding the removal of foreign substances, degreasing, cleaning, and the presence of rust. When dealing with old paints of unknown nature, it is recommended to perform a preliminary test to verify adhesion. In case of doubt, remove them through stripping, blasting, or other means.

Then proceed as if dealing with new substrates.
